404 is dedicated to deliver the highest quality SUP boards with the uncompromising goal of performance. The story of 404 began at the Battle of the Paddle in 2009. Greg Jensen, a former pro surfer and shaper, and Danny Ching, a world-renowned outrigger and SUP paddler, met and decided to join forces. The two believe that the addition of an experienced shaper and someone who pushes the boundaries of board design would only result in the best available SUP products on the market. Today, stand up paddling is much more than just a way of paddling. Danny Ching is still one of the world’s best paddlers and long held the world record for the 200 meter sprint distance. He combines all his knowledge in the 404 boards and Hippostick paddles. 

404 has their roots in racing, but have quickly recognized the diversity of SUP and swear that every paddler, regardless of skill or activity, deserves the highest quality of boards and paddles that will help them achieve their best possible performance. The 404 teamriders already won big international titles and national titles, such as the Carolina Cup (Danny Ching & April Zilg), Sprint World Champion Title (April Zilg), APP Champion (April Zilg) and the SUP 11-City Tour (Tanja Ecker) + lots of happy SUP 11-City Tour finishers (Anat Dines, Katha Kiecksee, Julia Georgi, Mark Salter, Thomas & Sandra Hinkel). As well as several podium spots in the Pro Category (Tommaso Pampinella & Mark Salter), Junior Category with the 12″6 Jump and in the age group category (Thomas Hinkel & Sandra Hinkel).
